Executive Coaching

Business

What is Executive Coaching?

Executive coaching is a contracted one-to-one relationship between a coach and executive which aims to provide the executive with

1) An opportunity to reflect on the challenges facing them
2) A sounding board for developing solutions to those challenges
3) Independent, person focused support

An executive coaching programme works in the following way:

  • The coach works with the client organisation and the client to identify a mutually beneficial coaching agenda

  • Based on this an initial coaching contract is established, typically consisting of between four and eight sessions over a defined period

  • Coaching sessions typically take place off-site as this allows the client ‘detach’ from their current demands and move into a focused, reflective space

  • As the coaching sessions progress the initial agenda may be altered and adapted as necessary

  • At the end of the coaching sessions, a debrief and review session can be held with the coach, client and client organisation to establish the success of the coaching sessions and determine any further course of action that may be required.

It is important to note that the content of coaching sessions between the coach and client is strictly confidential. Any disclosure can only occur with the direct consent of the client.
